Renalin® Cold Sterilant
-
The Reliable Standard In Dialyzer
Reprocessing
|
Renalin Cold Sterilant is a sterilant for reprocessing
medical devices and has been extensively used in the reprocessing
of hollow fiber dialyzers. It is is a stabilized mixture of hydrogen
peroxide, peracetic acid and acetic acid and is an essential part
of the Renatron® II Automated
Dialyzer Reprocessing System. Renalin Cold Sterilant is the only
registered sterilant for dialyzer reprocessing and is used by more
U.S. dialysis facilities than any other reprocessing product.
Renalin is a sterilant and not just a disinfectant.
It destroys microorganisms, viruses, bacterial spores and fungi.
It reacts with the protein of the cell walls of the organisms and
penetrates to the interior of the cells, oxidizing all protein components
and any enzyme systems. Renalin is effective against Hepatitis B
virus, and HIV (associated with AIDS) when used as a sterilant.
It demonstrates bactericidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal and virucidal
properties and kills non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM) rapidly
and completely.
Tested and demonstrated to be effective, Renalin
Cold Sterilant improves cleaning and enhances aesthetic appearance
of the dialyzer. With more than 75,000,000 uses since its introduction
in 1983, Renalin's effectiveness and reliability is proven.
Renalin is environmentally friendly. Its by-products
form an innocuous oxygen, water and acetic acid mixture.
