The Medivators DSD EDGE is a dual-basin, asynchronous automated endoscope reprocessor designed for use in busy hospitals and surgery centers. The DSD EDGE provides the fastest endoscope turn-around time with a reprocessing cycle as short as 22 minutes. One DSD EDGE is capable of reprocessing 44 endoscopes in eight hours. By improving throughput, a facility can add procedures, increase income, reduce endoscope inventory and may decrease the number of reprocessors needed. DSD EDGE is designed to operate with single-use, environmentally friendly peracetic acid called Rapicide PA. This High Level Disinfectant works at a low 30 degrees Celsius temperature, eliminating cool down time and assuring scope compatibility. Other standard features include: automated leak testing to minimize leak-related repair costs, a final alcohol purge to facilitate drying of endoscope channels, and an optional supplemental wash cycle for additional and consistent cleaning of the endoscope. An optional data management system for cycle tracking and record keeping is also available.
