Privacy Policy

The Cantel Companies may use the information collected on and through our websites to process orders, determine buying trends, and to provide a more personalized experience on our companies’ websites.  The requirements outlined in the Privacy Policy are subject to relevant country, federal, state, province, and local jurisdiction laws and regulations. In the case that such laws and regulations conflict with the requirements found in the Privacy Policy, the pertinent laws and regulations shall supersede the requirements of the Privacy Policy. What information do we collect and how is it used? 

The Cantel Companies do not collect personally identifiable information unless it is provided to us voluntarily. Visitors to our websites can navigate the sites without revealing personally identifiable information. However, when you submit an order to our systems, we may need to know your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number, and its expiration date, among other pieces of information that allow us to process and fulfill your order, and notify you of your order status.


If you chose to enter into a promotion or contest or respond to a survey or questionnaire, we may ask for your name, address, and e-mail address, among other pieces of information, so we can distribute promotional offerings, administer the promotion, contest, survey or questionnaire, and notify winners. The Cantel Companies may need to forward such information to fulfillment houses or distributors. However, our partners have agreed to keep any personal information provided to them confidential and secure, unless you consent to such information being shared with other product manufacturers.


We may also utilize your purchase history to shape our recommendations about the merchandise or promotions that might be of interest to you.  We may also monitor customer traffic patterns, site usage, and other web-metrics to help us develop the design and layout of our websites, determine customer preferences, and otherwise review product offerings and trends.  This may involve the use of cookies or other tracking mechanisms that are standard for internet websites.  We may also use the information that we collect to, on occasion, notify you about new products or services, special offers, or important changes to our websites.


How secure is customer information?
When appropriate, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all of the information that you input into forms before they are transmitted to us. The Cantel Companies will take reasonable steps to protect customer data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. What are "Cookies" and do we use them?
As mentioned previously, we may use cookies on our websites.  "Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not extract any information from your computer and they do not contain any personally identifiable information. Cookies allow us and related or affiliated third parties to know whether you have been on the website before and help us provide features that will personalize your website experience. Particularly, this allows us and related or affiliated third parties to deliver advertisements that are more relevant to you and your interests. Will the Cantel Companies disclose information collected to outside parties?
The Cantel Companies do not currently sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any other companies or individuals.  We may choose to do so in the future. The Cantel Companies may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, site visitors, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to third-party vendors.


The Cantel Companies may share collected information with our affiliated companies, subject to the Privacy Policy. Additionally, data and information may be shared with dealers, subcontractors, service providers, or other business partners of the Cantel Companies, for the limited purpose of supporting customer relationships.


Collected information may be disclosed as necessary by law, legal process, litigation, or request from public or governmental authorities within or outside of your country of residence. Additionally, the Cantel Companies reserve the right to disclose collected information if such disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce the relevant Terms of Use for our websites, to protect users of our websites, or to safeguard the operations of the Cantel Companies. How do you consent to this policy?

How does this policy impact children?

The Cantel Companies’ websites are not intended for children under the age of 13. The Cantel Companies will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. Any communications that are identified as being from a child under the age of 13 will not be retained.


What are our responsibilities for links to outside websites?

The Cantel Companies’ websites may contain links to websites belonging to other companies and organizations. The Cantel Companies are not responsible for the content of any other website and cannot guarantee that other websites will maintain the same privacy standard as the Cantel Companies.
